Encouragement: Are you beating yourself up?

“What you think of me is none of my business.”

"I will stay within the lines." Don't let the world tell you what to do! From the Central School Art Gallery in Lake Charles

Think about this thought.  What does it really mean?

We spend much of our lives worried about what others think of us.  We lose much joy creating storms in our minds over others and their perceived values of us.

3 simple thoughts on this:

1. The only value that matters is what God thinks of me.  He knows me, loves me in spite of who I am, and sees Jesus when He looks at me.  If He’s pleased, I’m pleased.

2. Many times we think others think little of us when we’re simply creating cobwebs in our minds.

3. There is great freedom in release from not getting our self-worth from others.
