W.I.P.
Work in Progress
This is the current manuscript being written.
At this present time, our W.I.P. is a historical novel entitled “A Spent Bullet.” Set in western Louisiana during September 1941, it is the love story of a rural schoolteacher and Milwaukee soldier during the Louisiana Army Maneuvers.
The series of large scale war games beginning in 1940 and continuing through the early years of World War II, changed the landscape and culture of piney woods Louisiana. It also shaped the face of the American military and advanced the careers of leaders such as Generals Patton and Eisenhower.
Currently, the first draft of the manuscript is at 50,000 words with an estimated finish length of 90,000 words by summer 2010.
