It’s a word I love:   Journey.

It can be a trip of a thousand miles.  Or in the last two weeks, 2000 km.  That’s a journey.

Or a journey can be the distant from one’s head to the heart.  A journey of about ten inches.

Either type of journey can be life-changing.

The Shortest Road to London

The London Times once held a contest.  Entries were to complete the following sentence.

“The shortest road to London is ___________.”

The deserving winner completed it as “The shortest road to London is with good company.”

It’s always true.  The best trips include good company.  We definitely had that on this two week trip.

Fast food African style. Vendors sell items like this delicious beef on a stick at roadside markets. When a bus (or car) stops, they rush with their wares.
