On Skip Bertman
My favorite Skip Bertman statement was what he called “Transfer of Blame”:
“It’s human nature to look around and find someone, or something, to blame for our failures. A winner looks in the mirror and says, ‘I own this. I’ll do better next time.’ ”
Resist the urge to stoop to “Transfer of Blame.”
Warren Morris, who leads a Bible study in our church, uses many “Skip-isms” as he shares.
Warren said that “Transfer of Blame” was a repeated favorite of Coach Skip.
Skip Bertman was a great baseball coach.
Those who knew him said he was an even better man.
