Favorite things so far:
Glaciers! I saw the tail end of an ice face “Calving”, a huge chunk dropping into the sea.
The sled dogs at Carcross, Yukon Canada. Much more to come.
Float planes landing and taking off.
Train ride through White Pass Valley, AKA “Valley of Torment” and “Dead Horse Trail”, the steep climb that prospectors climbed on their way to the distant Klondike gold mines. Fine video to come.
Fascinating people from every corner of the world.
Salmon making their difficult and dangerous journey upstream to the place of their birth.
Tidal mudflat “fresh salmon buffet line” for dozens of bald eagles. We couldn’t get to it due to extreme high tides in the area.
