THE GIFT OF TEARS

“You know I cried when I read your story.”

I smiled, “So did I.”

No tears in the writer. No tears in the writer.

I want to tell stories that move people.

Laughter

Tears

Shaking of the head

I don’t believe

Walking away from that story moved and changed.

“The shortest distance and the truth and a human heart is a story,”

-Anthony DeMello

Is my writing than it was twenty-five years ago?

Sure it is. I have a wounded heart.

It’s healing but still bears some scars.

God brought me through the darkest place.

I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it.

These broken times made me a better man and therefore a better writer.

I notice people

Especially those who have wounded hearts
