Gene Ortis’s Father’s “Laws of Generosity:”

 

Dad’s 6 Principles of Generosity

1.        You can’t love without giving. 1 John 3:17

2.        Extra is what you have received.  Extra is what you should give. Leviticus 19:9-10

3.        Make heavenly investments NOW.  Matthew 6:20; 
DAD QUOTES:
A.  “There are no trailer hitches on   coffins.”

B.  “If you are going to invest in heaven, you have to do it here and now.”

C.  “If we send our investments on ahead, then our affections will be weaned from              the perishing things of this world.”  He believed and lived this til his dying breath.

As he lay dying in his hospital bed, he asked me to read one verse of scripture.
Galatians 6:14
“As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world died long ago, and the world’s interest in me has also died.”
