Friendship

Friendship is such a wonderful thing. It’s even richer at this time of the year.  Enjoy friends and families as you celebrate the birth of Jesus.  My parents have shared a life-time friendship with Ed and Kat King.

Bro. Ed and my dad are both gone.  However, our family’s friendship continues.  Leslie King, granddaughter in law of the King’s (married to Braden King) sent a photo of a painting my dad gave the King family.

This is Dad's inscription on the painting

“Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.   -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Gratitude . . . and much more

Gratitude, “Lord  you’ve given me so much. I ask for one more thing: a heart of gratitude.” I try to think of it daily.

My Grandfather and his hog dogs. A reminder of where I come from.
