From Crooked Bayou Swamp

“Self-respect is the root of discipline: The sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself.” -Abraham Joshua Heschel

It’s Friday, November 4.  I hope you have a great day.

My prayer for today:  “Lord, help me say no to the things I should.  Help me to say yes to the priority things in my life.  Most of all, let me say yes to you.  Amen”

“It’s easy to say no to things, when you have a burning Yes in your heart.”

We’re doing a Christmas e-book.  It’ll feature new and old stories celebrating the spirit of Christmas.   If you have a special Christmas recipe and would like it considered for inclusion, let us hear from you.  We can’t guarantee it’ll be included but will try.

Submission of your recipe means it will feature your name (and a family member if it’s been passed down).  It also releases the recipe to be used by Creekbank Stories in “Christmas Jelly and other Holiday Delicacies.”
