Colleen and Gordy at the Game Park

A Word from Curt

Safari.

It’s a familiar Swahili word that means journey.

It’s a trip.

It can be an adventure.

It may involved animals and if it does it may mean shooting with a camera instead of a gun.

Uganda and Kenya do not have big game hunting as some of their neighbours to the South.

We’ve been on Safari with my sister Colleen, her husband Gordy and their son Brady.  It’s been a time of ministry among the Kakwa people of the area where Uganda, South Sudan, and Congo meet.

Today (we’re eight hours ahead of you) we visit Murchison Falls National Park.  It’s a wonderful game park where the Nile River flows into Lake Albert.

In celebration of this Safari (I’m writing this a week ahead) I’ll pulling out my favourite Far Side Africa cartoons.

Enjoy!
