Tues. 11-9-10: Thoughts on Learning

“There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” -Beverly Sills Famed New York Met Opera star

The older I become and the more I learn, the more convinced I am that perseverance is one of the essential qualities of a happy and productive life.

Here’s a quote for your day:

“There is frequently more to be learned from the the unexpected questions of a child than the discourses of men.”
-John Locke

It is true that children have so much to teach us. In fact, they can be our greatest teachers.

One of my favorite quotes is from Louis Pasteur:  “When I observe a small child, I feel two strong emotions:  affection for whom he is, and respect for whom he can become.”
