  1. I have to tell you how much I am enjoying reading the stories from your latest book “Where I Come From “. It’s not a book that requires you to read from cover to cover but rather one that lets you pick a fruit of day from anywhere between those covers.
There are two stories that I read recently that moved me greatly and both involve trees. One is “The Seed Tree” and the other is “Pine Kindling “. Although the subject matter of each is different, there seems to be common theme of legacy in each of the two stories. I am constantly reminded that everything I have is not only a blessing from God, but also a result of all the people around me—those still living and those that have gone on to be with our father in heaven. I pray that my time on this earth is fruitful. I pray that I may have a positive influence on my children and family and friends and any other person that passes my way. I pray that I leave legacy that is worthy.
Stories about a loblolly pine and a pile of rich lighter pinewood may be simple tales, but they has such a deeper meaning. Thanks Curt.
