I visited this morning with Mrs. Kelly Rudy’s third graders at DeRidder’s Carver Elementary. We had a fun time together as I told them three stories: The Evening Holler (from Stories from the Creekbank) , Joe Moore and the Skunk (The Wayfaring Stranger) , and Mayo’s Snake-Popping story (A Good Place).
No matter the age, people love stories. No matter the place, I love sharing stories.
Curt, I have now heard you speak in about four different settings. It’s ALWAYS a good experience. It’s a hard sell, but most disciplined writers become better readers. Therefore, I hope you inspire more people to write in a discipline manner and thereby become better readers — especially young learners. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Sam.
Blessings for a great 2010.
Never forget that the classroom is one of God’s highest callings.
