Fri. Sept. 24 Persistence!

Persistence: For that a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again.  Proverbs 24:16

“Fall seven times, get up eight.”

So much success in life is related to simple persistence.  An unwillingness to quit.

A commitment to finish… and finish strong.

“Lord, I can’t do it without You, but I knew You and I can do it together. Help me. Help me. Help me.  Amen.”

Persistence always rides shotgun with hope.  It’s hard to stay the course if you’ve lost hope.  Here is an excerpt from my fourth book, Hearts across the Water.

“It’s all about hope. . .”

“When you’ve got hope in your heart, you can handle anything. If you’ve lost hope, there’s not much else.”  These stories of the good in people and overcoming challenges, seen through the eyes of three natural disasters- Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and the Asian tsunami, will give anyone a lift.

Welcome to the “City of Hope,” a Louisiana evacuee shelter for evacuees from hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  These touching stories of the lives and trials of people will remind you of the togetherness, love, and hope that can come out of disaster and loss.  You’ll laugh out loud at the results of the mixture of culture, language, race, and understanding found in the SW Louisiana community of Dry Creek.
