Holding the Rope: How you can pray for us.

When you pray, you’re holding the rope.

When you pray for our needs, you are holding the rope.
When you pray for our needs, you are holding the rope.

Here’s how to pray for us.

DeDe and I are both working as Chaplains for Marketplace Ministries. I’m assigned to Roy O Martin’s two mills and trucking fleet. DeDe also works at the Martin facilities as well as two  two nursing homes. It is a rewarding and challenging ministry. Pray for God’s leadership and favor.

Home Bible Study   We’re part of a wonderful Bible in our home each Monday night. We and  two other couples are working through the book of Colossians.

A Church Home: We are joining a growing church plant, The Gathering Place-Wardville. Please pray for our pastor Eric Johnson (one of our favorite Dry Creek alumni) and the young couples making up this fellowship.

After much editing and hand-wringing, the book proposal on As the Crow Flies goes to our agent, Chip MacGregor, this week. Pray for God’s guidance on this historical novel.

This is a draft cover only. It reminds us of the vision of the book.

Trampled Grass is an ebook we published in 2015. It features stories about refugee work in Uganda, South Sudan, and Kenya. We’re excited about releasing a paperback version by Summer 2016.

I speak to McNeese’s Baptist Collegiate Ministry on Monday night (March 21). I’ll be sharing from Acts 16 on “God’s Call is about more than Geography.” It’ll be a privilege being with one of my heroes, Keith Cating.

Thank you for holding the rope and praying for us.

There’s nothing more important you can do.
