Nairobi, Kenya
Currently church groups are wary of venturing into many parts of the world where we work.
Due to the ongoing South Sudanese war, we only recommend that groups consider going to the two SS locations we have field personnel: Taposa Land and Dinka Rek Country.
Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya (scene of much of the recent movie, ‘The Good Lie’) is currently stable but recent terrorism in other areas of Kenya has discouraged American volunteers.
The work in Chad is in the foundational stage and it will be time before we’re ready for groups.
But there’s an area that is both stable and ripe for the gospel: northern Uganda.
The twelve settlements comprising what is called “Adjumani Camps” are open and ripe for Gospel opportunities.
We have trusted pastors both in and near the Camps who can work with American churches.
Bible schools are sprouting up in these camps.
The Jesus Film and audio Bibles are finding receptive ears and hearts.
Come join us.
I have this countdown clock on my computer.
It tracks the time we have left before our season in Africa ends and we return to the United States.
The initial reaction might be, “It looks like y’all are counting down the days and can’t wait to leave.”
That’s not why I’m using this clock.
DeDe and I have a strong desire to finish strong.
To leave Africa with having put it all “out on the court.”
To hold nothing back.
To hit the finish line in a steady sprint.
Pray for us that in this remaining months, we will “redeem the time.”
You’ll laugh at the FillerUp video.
