Today’s Proverb:  Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses the way.  Proverbs 19:2 ESV

A Prayer for the day:  Lord, keep me from two places:  Lagging behind your will for my life and being ahead of your will.  You know me well, I’m prone to both, especially the latter.

Teach me to walk step by step beside you and your will.   Amen

Today’s Quote:”We agree that the cost of discipleship is great, but I wonder if the cost of non-discipleship is even greater.” -David Platt    Radical

What I’m reading:

Radical by David Platt    I’m reading it a second time. It’s that good.  Our entire church will read it in January’s home Bible studies.

A Tale of Two Cities Charles Dickens   A classic that endures.  I try to read it every several years.  A story of a terrible time (best of times, worst of times)  told through the eyes of memorable characters.

The Spider Lillies are now blooming in the South.
