Book Clubs
Under Construction 5 FEB 2026
This is a companion blog post to our book, One Night in Winterset.
- What are the major themes of One Night in Winterset?
- What touches could the author add that would enrich the story? (Amazon KDP allows the author to update their manuscripts at will.)
- If you find errors, please email me at curt@creekbank.net. I want this book to be the best it can be! “A book needs friends before it needs readers.”
Any ideas for a future historical novel with Louisiana roots? I’d had several great book ideas generated from book club visits.
A final word: Book clubs aren’t just for women. Many of my most loyal readers (men and women) carry my books to their deer stand.
I’d love to hear from your newly-formed “Pine Knot Reading Circle.”

Book Club Discussion Guide
I love book clubs.
They love reading and feel compelled to dig deeper into a story.
That’s how you make it your own.
I like that kind of digging, too.
One of my favorite events is sitting down with a book club, listening as they pepper me with bouquets, bullets, and blessings.
I’d love to share with your book club, even if I’m not in your area. That’s why they made Zoom. It’s not quite the intimacy of a living room, but it’s still an event that enlightens and encourages everyone.
I’ve included a list of book club discussion questions and insights at:
www.creekbank.net/book-clubs-and-winterset.
I’d love to hear from you at curt@creekbank.net.
