Thur. Nov. 4: Good Advice on Finishing Well

As a former basketball coach and father, I told my players and sons,  “Never leave the practice court unless you’ve made your last shot.”

That may sound a little trite, but it’s all about the philosophy of finishing well.

Always leave things better than you found them   i.e. LTWBTYFI*

Walk off the court knowing you’ve done your best.

Pay attention to the little details.

Feel like a winner.

Do your best.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all of your heart.

If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right, especially if it’s for God.

As you live this beautiful day (a gift from God) be sure to make your last shot.

It’s a commitment.

It’s a way of life.

Always aiming for the goal,

Curt Iles
